Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International, seeks a Pipefitter Superintendent for the Hinkley Point C project. Lead safety-focused delivery, manage progress, and coordinate with sub-contractors on major construction work.

Ideal candidates have proven pipefitting supervision in engineering projects and nuclear power experience. NVQ/Diploma Level 3, CCNSG, and optionally SMSTS/IOSH are preferred credentials. This role offers day or night shifts with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter Superintendent within an engineering project.
• Experience in nuclear power preferred.
• NVQ or Diploma Level 3 in pipefitting or related discipline required.
• CCNSG Safety Passport and SMSTS/IOSH Managing Safely preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion nuclear safety culture while maximising team productivity.
• Oversee delivery of work scopes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Schedule, track progress, and issue daily reports to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ensure trainees and apprentices receive varied experience and training within allocated work.
