Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, is recruiting a Pipefitter Superintendent for the Hinkley Point C project. You will lead safety and production efforts, oversee work scopes, and manage subcontractors on a major nuclear construction program.

The role includes liaising with stakeholders, coordinating trainees’ development, and working day or night shifts to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter Superintendent on engineering projects.
• Nuclear power project experience preferred.
• CCNSG Safety Passport is required.
• SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely certification required.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and delivering safe production.

Responsibilities

• Lead on safety and production, champion nuclear safety culture.
• Oversee delivery of work scopes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage project progress: schedule, track progress, and issue daily reports.
• Liaise with stakeholders and attend progress meetings as required.
• Ensure trainees and apprentices receive appropriate experience and training.
• Co-coordinate subcontractors to meet project goals.
