Job summary

Morson Talent is hiring TIG and MMA welders for the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station construction project in Somerset. Roles can be day or night shifts with substantial overtime and a long-term horizon of 6–7 years on HPC, followed by potential work on Sizewell C.

You will join a MEH Alliance team delivering complex piping and cabling systems, testing welds, and complying with ISO 9606 standards. Accommodation and enhanced rates are available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Welding or Fabrication OR Welding apprenticeship or equivalent (Scotland Level 5)
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Welder in relevant industry (oil, gas, power, nuclear)
• CCNSG Safety Passport (to be obtained prior to start)
• Ability to pass BPSS security vetting

Responsibilities

• Weld to radiographic standard.
• Inspect equipment and welding components.
• Follow welding protocols and safety regulations including fume control.
• Identify and report welding problems for corrective action.
• Ensure welds are identifiable for quality control.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and documentation standards.
