The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking a Principal Clinical Scientist to lead the Nuclear Medicine team, aligning with the Total-Body-PET scanner project. This role emphasizes PET-CT expertise, diagnostics and therapy, and requires strong research credentials and MPE certification.

You will contribute to QA, training and development of imaging protocols, supervise scientists and technologists, and may support off-site departments as needed.

Competenze

• Requires a good first degree in physics or physical science and an MSc in physics applied to medicine or related subject.
• Must be a registered Clinical Scientist with MPE certification and research experience in NM imaging.
• Significant training in diagnostic and therapeutic NM procedures and PET-CT focus.

Mansioni

• Characterise, evaluate and validate NM imaging equipment and related instrumentation.
• Develop procedures for NM and PET, and ensure compliance with legislative radiation safety rules.
• Teach, train and disseminate NM methods to staff and external groups.
• Maintain CPD and state registration; support research studies and data analysis.
