Compass Associates are recruiting a Principal Physicist – Nuclear Medicine & Theranostics for a renowned international healthcare organisation in South West London. This senior role offers substantial autonomy to shape a specialist cancer care service while contributing to the expansion of UK capabilities.

You will lead the Nuclear Medicine physics team, oversee new PET/CT technology commissioning, and drive robust QA/QC, governance and regulatory compliance across a growing network.

Qualifikationen

• HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist in Medical Physics.
• MSc or higher in Medical Physics or Radiation Physics.
• Significant post-qualification Nuclear Medicine physics experience.
• Experience with PET/CT, SPECT/CT and theranostics.
• Experience in equipment commissioning, QA/QC and clinical service development.
• Strong knowledge of radiation protection, regulatory compliance and clinical governance.
• Recognition as Medical Physics Expert (MPE) or progress toward.

Aufgaben

• Lead and support Nuclear Medicine physics services including PET/CT and theranostics.
• Oversee commissioning, acceptance testing and clinical implementation of new PET/CT equipment.
• Develop QA/QC programmes and radiation protection policies.
• Provide expert dosimetry and imaging optimisation guidance.
• Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R, IRR17, ARSAC and UK regulations.
• Support clinical governance, risk assessments and service development.
• Collaborate with clinicians, suppliers and advisers to enable service expansion.
