Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking an Advanced Clinical Technologist / Radiographer (Band 7) to join the Nuclear Medicine department. The role involves delivering diagnostic and therapeutic imaging, administering radioactive materials, and working within a multidisciplinary team to support cancer care.

Applicants should hold a degree in a relevant science subject with PgDip in Nuclear Medicine, and be eligible for Register of Clinical Technologists or State Registration

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant science subject or equivalent; PgDip or equivalent in Nuclear Medicine.
Substantial experience in clinical nuclear medicine.
Maintain or work towards membership of the Register of Clinical Technologists, or State Registration as a Radiographer.
Band 7 post; may start at Band 6 with progression after training.

Responsibilities

Be part of a multidisciplinary team.
Perform patient investigations and treatments.
Administer radioactive materials for diagnostic and therapy investigations.
Carry out imaging procedures in accordance with protocols.
Supervise junior staff and assist in training students and trainees.
Support departmental governance and quality initiatives.
