Job summary

Mirion Technologies in the UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate and service nuclear measurement systems at customer sites, with a focus on Harwell and UK travel. You will work hands-on on radiation protection instruments, gamma spectroscopy equipment and NDT systems, delivering practical fault diagnosis and remote support where required.

The role requires an engineering background, strong problem-solving and clear communication to maintain high safety and quality

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience with radiation measurement instrumentation or gamma spectroscopy is advantageous.
• Strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning, calibrating, testing and repairing nuclear measurement systems.
• Providing on-site and remote technical support to customers across the UK, with occasional international travel.
• Troubleshooting systems, diagnosing faults and delivering effective technical solutions.
• Completing routine testing and calibration in line with technical procedures and standards.
• Maintaining accurate technical and service documentation per QHSE requirements.
• Working closely with UK and international service teams.
• Representing Mirion professionally when working with customers.
