Job summary

Mirion Technologies in Warrington is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer (Measurement Systems) to design and integrate mechanical aspects of nuclear measurement systems. You will work with specialist sub-contractors and internal teams to validate solutions, ensure on-time delivery, and meet cost targets.

Role involves hands-on testing and commissioning across UK sites. The position is based in Warrington with travel to customer sites for commissioning.

Qualifications

• Degree educated or time served in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience as a Mechanised Projects Engineer with inter-disciplinary interfacing.
• Good appreciation of Electrical Systems.
• Familiar with Machinery Directive EN12100 and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the Mechanical element of bespoke systems projects and assist Technical Lead.
• Sustain and develop largely standard systems with compliance to standards.
• Guide junior team members and apply best engineering practices.
• Support FMEA, fault tree analysis, SIL substantiation, and Hazop delivery.
• Engage with divisional stakeholders and contribute to tender concepts.
