Mirion Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a hands-on, customer-facing role based in Harwell. You will install, calibrate, and maintain Mirion's radiological protection instruments and gamma spectroscopy equipment across client sites, with on-site and remote support and occasional international travel.

The role requires an engineering apprenticeship or ONC in Electronics or Electrical Engineering; experience with radiation instrumentation is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent experience in electronics or electrical engineering.
• Experience with radiation instrumentation is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Install, commission, calibrate, test and repair nuclear measurement systems at customer sites.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support across the UK; occasional international travel.
• Troubleshoot systems, diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
• Carry out routine testing and calibration per procedures and standards.
• Maintain accurate technical and service documentation per QHSE requirements.
• Collaborate with UK and international service teams and represent Mirion professionally.
