Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater. This site-based role supports major contracts and work packages, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction and safety teams to deliver on time, safely and to budget.

You will gain exposure to project controls, planning, governance and stakeholder engagement while developing skills across commercial, engineering and programme management disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree or similar qualification in construction, engineering, steel design, manufacturing or related field preferred.
• Experience in project management and organisational skills.
• Membership of APM or PMI or understanding of the APM project management Body of Knowledge principles.
• Experience delivering engineering, construction, infrastructure or major project programmes.
• Experience coordinating activities across multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in producing project reports, schedules, documentation and management information.
• Experience supporting budget management, forecasting, planning activities and project controls processes.
• Experience working within structured project governance and compliance environments.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Project Managers in delivering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and handover activities across assigned contracts and work packages.
• Coordinating activities and interfaces with engineering, commercial, procurement, construction, project controls and safety teams.
• Maintaining project schedules, records, governance documentation and auditable decision logs.
• Supporting project reporting, earned value management, budgeting and business case preparation activities.
• Facilitating stakeholder communication, supplier engagement and collaborative project delivery across the programme.
