Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Fire Safety Risk Assessor (Commissioning) to support the HPC project in Bridgwater. The role involves overseeing fire safety activities for Commissioning, collaborating with multiple teams, and ensuring compliance with UK legislation.

The successful candidate will contribute to developing fire safety culture, manage FRA processes, and work on-site at the HPC Bridgwater location under a 12-month rolling PAYE contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 Fire Safety Qualification with an approved professional body (IFE/IFSM)
• Experience in Fire Risk Assessment (FRAs) across varying environments
• Able to interpret Fire Safety legislation and apply it to operations
• Hold or be able to obtain CTC level security clearance
• Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels of the organisation

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Fire Hazard Analyses (FHA) and Fire Risk Assessments (FRA with SME inputs)
• Write and own Commissioning Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) for HPC CommOps
• Support Fire Safety management systems, audits and assurance activities
• Contribute to the commissioning fire safety strategy across operation and maintenance areas
• Coordinate with the CommOps Fire Safety team and site fire safety teams to ensure compliance
