Assystem in the United Kingdom is seeking a Fire Safety & Risk Assessor within the CommOps team to support the HPC project. You will collaborate with the CommOps Fire Safety team and assist in day-to-day Fire Safety management across commissioning and operation transitions.

The role focuses on FHA/FRA development, fire safety governance, DSEAR risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with UK legislation while promoting a strong safety culture across multiple contractors on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 Fire Safety Qualification with an approved professional body (IFE).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience within large scale complex construction or nuclear licence sites environments.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience within DSEAR hazards and management processes.
• Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Fire Safety.
• Competent in using Microsoft applications and an aptitude to learn new software packages.
• Holds CTC level security clearance or the ability to obtain this

Responsabilités

• Implementing FHA and FRA with inputs from HPC SMEs.
• Assist the Fire safety lead regarding Fire Safety Arrangements in Commissioning.
• Support Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness Management Systems and Fire Safety Audit/Assurance.
• Contribute to implementation of the Commissioning fire safety strategy for Commissioning/Pre Operation/Maintenance areas.
• Ensure Fire Health and Safety Standards of the HPC project are met while championing the HPC Way.
• Assist with communication of lessons learned and safety talks across the CommOps.
• Administrating and supporting regular site fire safety inspections and checks.
• Assist with Fire Safety Assurance Audits, Inspections and monitoring activities.
• Support establishment and transition into fire safety governance for operational sites.
• Support DSEAR Risk Assessments and compliance with standards.
• Develop an operational readiness strategy for safe startup and regulatory compliance.
• Outline implementation plans for fire safety arrangements by project milestones up to COD.
