Job summary

NSG Environmental Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking skilled welders to join our project teams across nuclear sites. You will lay out, weld and finish assemblies to tight specifications, inspect welds, use measuring tools and ensure health and safety compliance. MIG, MMA and TIG welding in accordance with approved procedures are required.

Experience with AutoCAD drawings and ISO 9001/14001/45001 knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• SC Clearance – essential
• Weld Symbols and Materials Preparation – essential
• Experience with Sellafield quality plans and inspections – essential
• Confidential/commercial information handling – desirable
• Familiar with integrated management system procedures – desirable

Responsibilities

• Laying out, positioning and securing parts and assemblies per drawings; plan welding operations
• Tack-welding or welding components using electric, gas, arc welding
• Grinding operations
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance
• Observe callipers and gauges to verify tolerances
• Maintain safe work area and adhere to PPE requirements
