KNDS UK invites skilled welders to join our Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence. The role focuses on welding aluminium assemblies to strict quality standards under WPS and BS EN ISO specifications.

You will read engineering drawings, select appropriate welding processes (MIG/MAG and TIG where required), and ensure duties are performed safely and on schedule, contributing to our Defence sector projects.

Qualificações

• Minimum 12 months welding/fabrication experience fabricating aluminium assemblies in heavy manufacturing or fabrication environments.
• Experience with MIG (MAG) and TIG welding.
• Ability to read, understand and translate BS EN ISO 10042 drawings and WPS/NDT methods.
• Demonstrable understanding of welding defects and quality systems (WQMS/ISO 9001).

Responsabilidades

• Work safely and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Plan and prepare welding activities and report potential hazards.
• Weld aluminium assemblies to BS EN ISO 10042 in Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).
• Read drawings and ensure dimensional accuracy and conformity to specifications.
