Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead in the UK to drive on-time delivery of life-cycle handover points and to manage engineering issues across design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning. The role requires coordinating with risk and safety considerations and interfacing with approval bodies.

You will work within a regulated environment, ensuring adherence to standards while fostering collaborative relationships among stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering technical leadership in complex, regulated environments such as Nuclear energy.
• Awareness of integrated management systems and related policies and standards.
• Experience engaging groups of stakeholders and facilitating issues resolution.

Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of lifecycle handover points (design → manufacture → delivery → commissioning) and expediting stakeholder acceptance.
• Manage and resolve engineering issues (EQ, EW, open points, design changes) per Contract and RACI.
• Engage appropriate approval bodies when Safety Case is impacted.
• Liaise with all parties contributing to the delivery of works and ensure timely information exchange and role fulfilment.
• Prioritise queries and issues to discharge resolution efficiently considering manufacturing and installation needs.
• Deliver engineering deliverables through collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Provide engineering support throughout activities, including installation interfaces and timely escalation of issues.
• Ensure delivery to plan of Technical Acceptance and associated surveillance.
• Support management of engineering risks and opportunities within ARM.
• Manage design interfaces and supplier feedback.
• Support Quality Management Lead in resolving manufacturing NCRs.
• Follow up equipment qualification programmes to expedite related issues.
