Job summary

United Kingdom National Nuclear Laboratory seeks an Electrical Technical Support professional to back the Infrastructure Compliance Engineering team. The role focuses on reliable plant, system and equipment performance, with emphasis on safety and compliance within a nuclear facility.

You will develop practical engineering solutions, support maintenance planning, and help ensure all tasks meet site requirements and safety envelopes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or HND equivalent is required or considered with relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills to relay information to customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to make conservative decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements in a nuclear facility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop pragmatic, cost-effective engineering solutions meeting organisational objectives.
  • Support maintenance by implementing and maintaining the technical basis of maintenance (TBoM).
  • Brief and ensure safety-compliant maintenance tasks are understood and on schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, risk, and security standards.
  • Produce Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for maintenance or breakdown tasks.
