Job summary

Equans is seeking a Commissioning Director (M/W) for the Hinkley Point C project, based at the HPC site near Bridgwater, Somerset, UK. You will lead the commissioning strategy for the Emergency Diesel Generator scope, ensuring readiness from construction to operation and coordinating multi-discipline teams with the client and regulators.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• 15+ years in commissioning management on large industrial projects.
• Experience in nuclear, power or highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of system testing, readiness and handover processes.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
• Excellent interface management between engineering, construction and operations.
• Fluent English; EPC or major infrastructure project experience is desirable.
• Experience with testing and commissioning of Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning strategy and execution for the EDG scope at Hinkley Point C.
• Define and deploy the commissioning plan.
• Manage commissioning teams across preparation, testing and handover.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality and client stakeholders.
• Ensure readiness of systems, documents and resources.
• Manage schedules, priorities and interfaces across workstreams.
• Oversee system and integrated testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Drive resolution of punch-lists, non-conformities and technical issues.
• Support client handover and operational readiness activities.
