EDF is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the EDG commissioning strategy for the Hinkley Point C project. Reporting to the Project Director, you will drive readiness from construction completion to operation, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring safety and regulatory alignment.

You will define planning, manage schedules, supervise testing, oversee handover, and act as the primary interface with engineering, construction, quality and client stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• 15+ years of commissioning management on large industrial projects.
• Experience in nuclear, power generation or highly regulated industries.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams.

Your role and responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Director, you will lead the commissioning strategy and execution for the EDG (Emergency Diesel Generator) scope of the Hinkley Point C project, ensuring the successful transition from construction completion to operational readiness.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Defining and deploying the commissioning strategy and execution plan.
• Managing commissioning teams throughout preparation, testing and handover phases.
• Coordinating commissioning activities with engineering, construction, quality and client stakeholders.
• Ensuring readiness of systems, documentation and resources for commissioning activities.
• Managing commissioning schedules, priorities and interfaces across multiple workstreams.
• Supervising system and integrated testing activities.
• Ensuring compliance with nuclear, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Driving resolution of technical issues, punch-list items and non-conformities.
• Overseeing performance testing and final acceptance processes.
• Supporting the client through handover and operational readiness activities.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in commissioning management on large industrial projects.
• Extensive experience within nuclear, power generation or highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of system testing, operational readiness and project handover processes.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
• Excellent ability to manage interfaces between engineering, construction and operations.
• Strong communication, leadership and negotiation skills.
• Fluent English required;
• Experience working on EPC or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable
• Experience in the testing and commissioning of Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) systems is highly desirable.
