Job summary

AMS Nuclear Engineering Ltd in Bridgwater seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate technical delivery across engineering, procurement and construction. You will ensure information flow, gate readiness and disciplined records while engaging with engineers, clients and suppliers. A background in EC&I or nuclear engineering is advantageous and sponsorship for security clearance may be available. The role is based at Bridgwater Gateway with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Delivery coordination experience on sub-contractor led or engineering-led delivery.
• Technical curiosity and judgement; ability to ask informed questions.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Ownership mentality; take responsibility and challenge ambiguity.
• Experience in EC&I, nuclear or regulated engineering environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of technical scope, interfaces, acceptance requirements and constraints for allocated work.
• Control issue, receipt and status of technical information; ensure correct information is used.
• Coordinate interfaces across Engineering, Procurement, Production, suppliers, installation and commissioning.
• Define and evidence readiness for technical reviews, inspections and gates; escalate gaps.
• Monitor supplier deliverables and raise implications with the Project Manager.
