Job summary

NSG Environmental Ltd is seeking a Decommissioning Operative to join our decommissioning team. The role involves working under a Site Supervisor to deliver projects in decommissioning, decontamination, size reduction and waste management.

You will undertake training in health and radiation protection and contribute to the safe execution of tasks on nuclear sites. Applicants should have GCSEs in English, Maths and Science and be eligible for DV security clearance.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing messages accurately and carrying out instructions.
• Ability to maintain simple records and documents.
• Willingness to learn health and safety practices.
• Experience in site environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out decommissioning tasks, including size reduction and waste handling.
• Support plant operations, installation and commissioning activities.
• Maintain documentation and records for projects.
• Communicate with colleagues and external stakeholders as required.
