Job summary

AWE plc is seeking experienced Decommissioning Operatives to join a long-term nuclear project at Aldermaston. Start date 5th October, duration 6 months minimum with potential to extend.

The role includes decommissioning, deplanting, removal and dismantling of redundant plant, and working safely in a regulated nuclear environment. You will work with other trades, follow site procedures and hold required safety clearances (CSCS/CCNSG, SC, DV).

Qualifications

• Previous nuclear decommissioning experience.
• C2/C3 decommissioning experience.
• CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport.
• NVQ Level 3 or relevant qualification.
• SC Clearance.
• Must be willing and able to undergo DV clearance.

Responsibilities

• General decommissioning and deplanting duties.
• Removal, dismantling and preparation of redundant plant and equipment.
• Working safely within a highly regulated nuclear environment.
• Working alongside other skilled trades and following site procedures.
