Service Care Legal is recruiting on behalf of an East London-based law firm seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wills & Probate/Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their team. This full-time, office-based position is suitable for newly qualified candidates or those with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience.

Company Overview: The firm is well-established and respected, specializing in conveyancing (residential and commercial), litigation, family law, and private client services. Due to recent growth, they are expanding their private client team and are looking for a skilled Private Client Solicitor.

Role Overview: As a key member of the private client team, responsibilities include estate administration (probate and intestacy), applying for grants of representation, preparing inheritance tax returns, drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (Finance & Property and Health & Welfare), and managing Court of Protection deputyship cases. Client interaction requires a confident and empathetic approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estate administration, including probate and intestacy cases
• Applying for grants of representation
• Drafting Wills and LPAs
• Managing inheritance tax returns and providing advice
• Handling Court of Protection deputyship cases
• Engaging with clients, providing clear and sensitive advice
• Collaborating with team members to share knowledge and support

Key Requirements:

• Newly qualified (NQ) or up to 3 years PQE in Private Client law
• Experience in estate administration, Will drafting, inheritance tax, and LPAs
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Administration of Estates Act
• Client-facing experience with a professional and sensitive approach
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication skills, proactive and confident attitude
