Job summary

Oculus Legal Group is seeking an Employment Solicitor to join its HR and Legal team, offering hands-on tribunal experience and development of litigation skills.

Based in the UK with home-based work and occasional travel to the Newcastle area, you will work with a varied commercial client base across manufacturing and engineering, progressing towards managing your own caseload.

Qualifications

• Legally qualified with experience in employment law or litigation.
• Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Well organized with ability to manage deadlines.
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support Employment Tribunal claims from initial preparation through hearings.
• Draft pleadings, schedules of loss, lists of issues and other case documents.
• Assist with disclosure, witness statements and tribunal bundles.
• Liaise with clients to gather evidence and provide case updates.

• Undertake legal research and assist with correspondence involving tribunals, ACAS and other parties.

The opportunity

An established organisation supporting businesses across the UK is looking for an Employment Solicitor to join its HR and Legal team.

The role offers hands‑on employment tribunal experience, working with a varied commercial client base across the manufacturing and engineering sectors. You'll work alongside experienced legal advisers, develop your litigation skills and progress towards managing your own caseload.
