Theo James Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer to own development and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from RFQ through to pre-production and customer approval in Stockton. You will drive cross‑functional coordination with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial teams, and customers to translate requirements into manufacturable, cost‑effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience supporting development or NPI projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in feasibility analysis, cost estimation, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing data.
• Working knowledge of validation and quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, and process documentation.
• Confident communicator with experience working cross‑functionally.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of development and New Product Introduction activities from RFQ through to pre-production and customer approval.
• Provide full lifecycle involvement, combining hands-on technical delivery with project leadership responsibility.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial teams, and customers to translate requirements into manufacturable, cost-effective solutions.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering activities to meet scope, cost, timing, and quality targets.
• Lead feasibility assessments, support cost estimation and RFQ activity, manage Bills of Materials, coordinate procurement inputs, and producing robust engineering documentation.
• Contribute to validation planning, customer submissions, and the continuous improvement of project engineering processes.
• Help shape engineering standards, mentor team members, and support the delivery of complex projects within a structured, quality‑driven environment.
