Wipac Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced NPI Process Engineer to drive manufacturing method improvements and ensure robust process documentation for new products. The role involves leading CI activities, DFMEA/PFMEA, and supporting SAP integration across BOMs and routings.

You will collaborate with QA, design teams and production to meet milestones, while upholding health, safety and 5S standards and contributing to cost-down initiatives.

Formación

• At least 5 years’ experience in an assembly engineering role.
• Proven track record of manufacturing method improvements in assembly.
• Six sigma background.
• Black belt preferable but not essential.
• Good communication skills and ability to lead a team through improvement activities.

Responsabilidades

• Process methods for continuous improvement for QCD.
• Management of process documentation including PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Develop and support processes for new products and NEW product introduction.
• Cost down in method, tools and materials.
• Support Quality engineering in defect investigation and deliver root cause resolution.
• Lead CI teams in all manufacturing aspects.
• Design for Manufacture activities throughout the project.
• RFQ creation.
• BOM, route, SAP integration.
• DFMEA.
• Individual part reviews to feed into the CTS (Tooling documentation).
• Support and lead where necessary Pre- Series builds.
• Support Manufacturing until Phase 7 is closed (Project Closed).
• All of the above activities are to be carried out whilst adhering to Wipac’s Health and Safety, Environmental and 5S policies.
