Cambridge Aerospace is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) from design through scalable production in a fast-moving defence environment.

You will own industrialisation of high-precision components, collaborating with design, CAM programmers, machinists and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and tight tolerances. RD-focused, with process definition still evolving.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in precision engineering or machining environments.
• Experience in aerospace/defence/high-performance industries.
• Strong experience supporting CNC machining operations including 5-axis milling and/or mill-turn.

Responsabilidades

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from design to full production readiness.
• Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes for high-precision aerospace components.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (process plans, work instructions, setup sheets).
• Work with design to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA) is embedded early.
• Collaborate with CAM programmers to define efficient machining strategies.
• Provide hands-on support to CNC machinists during setup and production.
• Design fixtures, tooling and workholding for repeatable manufacture.
• Analyse and improve machining processes to optimise time and quality.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues and bottlenecks.
