Job summary
Pickering Interfaces in the United Kingdom is seeking an NPI Engineer to manage the introduction of new products and variants from design into manufacturing. You will work with a small cross-functional team to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality-driven production launches.
You will maintain BOMs in the MRP system, support first-build activities, and develop assembly instructions while driving design-for-manufacture improvements to meet targets.
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in engineering or related industry experience.
- Experience in electronic manufacturing.
- Ability to read schematics and produce concise documentation.
- Knowledge of design-for-manufacture and production processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional team to bring new products into production from prototype to small volume manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate BOMs in the MRP system.
- Coordinate and support first-build activities with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Develop and deliver assembly instructions to support production handover.
- Collaborate on DFMs and implement process improvements to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Support other departments with technical advice as needed.
