Latitude Recruitment is seeking an NPI Engineer near Fareham to lead mechanical, electronic and support aspects of validating and introducing new product developments into manufacturing and the supply chain. You will develop work instructions, build and test prototypes, and work with design and production to improve manufacturability and reduce cost.

You will also prepare NPI build plans for pilot builds, design tooling and FMEAs, and contribute to pre-sales estimates.

Formación

• Knowledge in electro-mechanical assembly and product build environments.
• Experience supporting prototype, NPI, and production activities.
• Ability to build, test, and debug products to meet customer and quality requirements.
• Experience producing documentation and work instructions.
• Exposure to Design for manufacture.

Responsabilidades

• Manage introduction of new products into production, identifying manufacturability issues before full-rate production.
• Support development of NRE estimates and pre-sales design activities for NPI approach and costs.
• Prepare NPI build plans for OIB/pilot builds with roles, schedule and resources.
• Develop detailed work instructions with photos and learnings from initial assemblies to standardise methods.
• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and FMEAs to meet project requirements.
