Job summary

Touchdown Labs is seeking an NPI & Customer Qualification Engineer to bridge customer needs and our engineering teams. You will define workpieces, acceptance criteria, sample plans, and coordinate supplier comparisons to drive informed decisions.

You will own the qualification handoffs, track risks, and ensure transfer of knowledge across process, test, quality, and cost. This role requires semiconductor or package NPI experience and strong ability to translate vague requests into concrete

Qualifications

Semiconductor or package NPI and customer qualification experience.
Ability to interpret product specs, test escapes, reliability, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Turn a customer workpiece and accepted output into DFM/DFT, CTQs, sample plan, supplier comparison, and transfer decision.
Convert a buyer workpiece and application into DFM, DFT, CTQs, sample size, and acceptance tests.
Compare a partner baseline with the proposed route on the same customer outcome.
Coordinate customer, process, test, quality, and commercial handoffs through transfer.
Write the acceptance and rejection criteria with the buyer before samples are made or compared.
Track open design, process, test, quality, and supplier risks through a documented transfer or stop decision.
