Location: Huntingdon

We are seeking an ambitious and passionate NPD Technologist to join our Development team. You will work closely with the NPD Manager, Development Chef, and Process Manager to deliver NPD & EPD to retail customers. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed product documentation, competitor benchmarking, feasibility meeting documentation, customer submissions, and supporting factory trials to ensure product alignment with customer specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing chef concepts and providing practical input to develop optimal products within manufacturing capabilities.
• Gathering information and completing customer product submission forms, updating them based on feedback and product refinements.
• Calculating nutritional data and Health Scores using Tesco ready reckoner, and addressing deviations from nutritional guidelines.
• Communicating with raw material suppliers for technical clarifications and considering order quantities and technical requirements.
• Creating feasibility meeting documentation based on concept team information and sharing it prior to customer submissions.
• Supporting site teams during pre-production and launch phases.
• Assisting in sample creation and raw material collection.
• Traveling to customers for submissions and benchmarking as needed.

To succeed, you should have:

• Previous experience as an NPD Technologist in food manufacturing.
• Graduate-level capabilities preferred.
• Strong numeracy, analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects.
• A full driving license.
