Job summary

In The News is seeking an experienced NPD Manager to lead the site’s New Product Development function in Teesside. You will guide projects from concept to factory launch, translating customer briefs into commercially viable products and collaborating across Technical, Operations, Procurement, Commercial and Supply Chain teams.

The role focuses on driving innovation in fresh/ready-to-eat ranges, monitoring consumer trends and ensuring products are manufacturable, cost-effective and meet quality

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading end-to-end NPD in food manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards.
• Experience with major retailers or foodservice customers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Passionate about food innovation and consumer trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's New Product Development function from concept to factory launch.
• Collaborate with customers to translate briefs into viable products.
• Work with Technical, Operations, Procurement, Commercial and Supply Chain teams.
• Manage product trials, launches and first production runs.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization across ranges.
• Monitor trends and insights to generate new product ideas.
• Manage development timelines to meet customer expectations.
• Support presentations, tastings and internal innovation sessions.
