Job summary

Drnewitt is seeking an NPD Manager to lead the end-to-end development of innovative supplement formulations, from concept through to commercial launch. You will collaborate across Commercial, Operations, Technical, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure regulatory compliance and strong commercial outcomes.

You will build an innovation culture, identify market opportunities, and coach the NPD team in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within New Product Development or Food Technology.
• Experience developing formulations within supplements/ingredients.
• Degree in Food Science/Technology, Nutrition or related field.
• Strong formulation and recipe development experience.
• Proven experience taking products from concept to launch.
• Excellent project management with multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness balancing innovation, cost and feasibility.
• Strong leadership with coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPD from concept to commercial launch.
• Develop innovative supplement formulations aligned with market needs.
• Manage NPD pipeline in line with commercial objectives.
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to develop high-margin products.
• Deliver product cost optimisation and value engineering.
• Provide technical support to customers during development.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
• Assist pricing decisions with profitability analysis.
• Identify emerging ingredients and market trends.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Lead customer innovation meetings and factory visits.
• Coach and develop the NPD team.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and speed to market.
• Support sustainability initiatives in development.
• Manage departmental budgets and priorities.
