Job summary

Mercury Hampton Ltd is seeking a dynamic technical sales professional to sell our flow‑control products, valves, pumps, mixers, actuators, and corrosion‑resistant components across the North of England. The candidate will have a proven track record in technical sales and a strong technical background in engineering or a scientific discipline.

Base salary ranges from £45,000 to £55,000 with OTE up to £60,000 and an executive car or generous car allowance.

Qualifications

Proven experience in technical sales within industrial or process markets.
Strong technical background in engineering or a scientific discipline, or hands‑on engineering experience.
Understanding of fluid handling, flow‑control, and corrosion‑resistant material principles.
Experience selling to chemicals, petrochemicals, water treatment, and water‑purification markets.
Dynamic, proactive, and “blue‑sky” thinking sales professional.

Responsibilities

Lead sales of mechanical engineering components, flow‑control products, valves, pumps, mixers, actuators, and corrosion‑resistant products.
Drive business development and new‑client acquisition in the North of England, including the M62 Corridor and cities such as Stoke‑on‑Trent, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Chester, Nottingham, Leicester, Leeds, Huddersfield, and Hull.
Act as the technical expert, offering advice and support on product applications, R&D simulation, rapid prototyping, and customer design services.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries from key accounts.
Meet or exceed sales targets and support the company’s growth plan.
