Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Recovery Coordinator for a busy Croydon substance misuse service. The role focuses on non-opiate treatment, risk management and holistic recovery planning within a busy, cross-agency environment.

You will manage caseloads, conduct assessments and deliver tailored 1-to-1 interventions to support clients toward sustained recovery while coordinating with health, mental health and criminal justice services.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance misuse services.
• Direct experience supporting people with non-opiate substance use.
• Experience with assessments, recovery planning and risk management.
• Strong key-working and motivational interviewing skills.
• Knowledge of harm reduction and recovery-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload of service users.
• Complete screening, assessments and recovery plans.
• Provide structured 1-to-1 key work and psychosocial interventions.
• Support individuals with non-opiate substance use and related needs.
• Provide harm reduction, health education and relapse prevention support.
• Complete risk assessments and safeguarding.
• Coordinate onward referrals and wider support packages.
• Work with health, mental health, criminal justice and community services.
• Support service users to build recovery capital and achieve sustainable outcomes.
• Maintain accurate case records and treatment documentation.

Pay Rate - Dependent on Direct Recovery Experience

Croydon, supporting individuals whose treatment needs are focused around

non-opiate substance use.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing an allocated caseload of service users
• Completing screening, assessments and recovery plans
• Providing structured 1-to-1 key work and psychosocial interventions
• Supporting individuals with non-opiate substance use and related needs
• Providing harm reduction, health education and relapse prevention support
• Completing risk assessments and safeguarding
• Coordinating onward referrals and wider support packages
• Working with health, mental health, criminal justice and community services
• Supporting service users to build recovery capital and achieve sustainable outcomes

• Previous experience within substance misuse / drug and alcohol services
• Direct experience supporting people with non-opiate substance use
• Experience with assessments, recovery planning and risk management
• Strong key-working and motivational interviewing skills
• Knowledge of harm reduction and recovery-focused practice
• Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills
• A non-judgemental and person-centred approach
• CGL or specialist substance misuse experience would be highly desirable.
