Job summary

Turning Point in Yeovil is recruiting a Non-Medical Nurse Prescriber (NMP) to deliver opiate substitute therapy, detoxifications and relapse prevention for clients across Somerset. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop personalised support packages and ensure high standards of care.

The role requires NMC registration and independent prescriber status, with strong communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to compassionate, person-centred care in a not-for-profit

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council and an independent prescriber.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to person-centred care and recovery support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver OST interventions and benzodiazepine reductions.
• Oversee detoxifications for alcohol and opiate use and relapse prevention meds.
• Provide health care assessments and administer detoxification medications.
• Conduct BBV screening and vaccinations; liaise with mental and physical health teams.
• Attend local prescribers meetings and engage in supervision and professional development.
