Job summary

Ned Capital is seeking a Non-Executive Director with a strong risk background to strengthen the board’s oversight of risk and, in time, contribute to or chair its Risk Committee. This governance appointment focuses on independent challenge of risk management and strengthening risk culture across the organisation.

The successful candidate will bring deep risk expertise, independence, and the confidence to question how risks are understood, reported and mitigated at the board level.

Qualifications

• Senior risk leadership experience (e.g., CRO, Head of Risk)
• Genuine expertise in enterprise risk, internal control and governance of risk
• Ability to operate at board level — oversight and challenge, not execution
• Independence, sound judgement and constructive challenge of management
• Existing board or committee experience is welcome; strong governance mindset if new to the board

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of the organisation's risk management framework and significant exposures.
• Contribute to or chair the Risk Committee as appropriate in time.
• Bring real risk expertise to the board and exercise independent judgement in board discussions
