Job summary

Welsh Ambulance Service invites applications for an Ambulance Care Assistant 1 in the Powys area. This is a Band 3, part-time role (15 hours per week) with shifts 0600–1900 across Monday to Saturday and a pro rata annual salary of £26,813–£27,890.

Qualifications

• No specific academic qualifications required, but a reasonable standard of general education is expected.
• First Aid at Work certificate and re-certification every 3 years.
• Evidence of delivering excellent customer care.

Responsibilities

• Drive an NEPTS ambulance or other vehicle for non-urgent journeys.
• Assist patients with varying levels of mobility and transfer to/from the vehicle.
• Ensure safety, professional conduct, and accurate documentation.
• Welsh language skills are desirable; Welsh or English speakers may apply.
