Taylor Root Dusseldorf is assisting a well-established UK and international law firm in London seeking a NQ-2 PQE non-contentious construction lawyer to handle procurement strategies, draft and negotiate contracts, and support major development projects.

The role spans regeneration, education, healthcare, energy and infrastructure sectors, with opportunities to work with leading partners on high-profile UK and international projects.

Qualifications

• PQE in non-contentious construction (NQ-2 years) with focus on construction law.
• Familiarity with JCT, NEC, EPC standard forms.
• Exposure to commercial or housing development work.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Commercial awareness and proactive business development.

The Role

The position sits within the firm’s highly regarded Projects, Development & Construction team, focusing on non-contentious construction. The successful candidate will be involved in advising on procurement strategies, drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke construction contracts, and supporting clients on major development projects. Work will span diverse sectors including regeneration, accommodation, education, and healthcare, alongside opportunities to work on energy and infrastructure projects.

What They’re Looking For

• NQ-2 years PQE with a focus on non-contentious construction law
• Familiarity with standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, EPC)
