Job Title: NOC Technician - Innovative Engineering Team (Previous Relevant Experience Required), Bournemouth

Join our Engineering Team at Telent, where you'll be empowered to innovate and drive solutions, working closely with technical experts committed to making a significant impact. Be part of a high-performing team managing complex and critical work, helping to build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure connectivity and security 24/7.

Role Overview:

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician provides administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring all incidents are resolved according to procedures and contractual KPIs. This role involves working on a 24/7, 365-day shift rota.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding in line with KPIs.
  2. Create network incident tickets from customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests.
  4. Allocate and dispatch tickets to technical support, field engineering, and other service providers.
  5. Manage incident tickets with regular, comprehensive updates.
  6. Coordinate traffic management, liaising with providers, control teams, and field resources.
  7. Communicate with customers regarding network incidents.
  8. Coordinate with utility companies during power-related network issues.
Candidate Profile:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, preferably within a NOC environment.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience in 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with all levels of seniority.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
