Job summary

Spectrum It Recruitment Limited is seeking a NOC Engineer to support data centre environments across the UK. You will monitor and maintain IT infrastructure and services, strengthening networking skills within a diverse IT environment.

You will join a team of engineers, working with Cisco, Palo Alto and Linux networks, validating security practices, and contributing to uptime and incident response with proactive monitoring.

Qualifications

• Must hold security clearance.
• Experience supporting data centre environments.
• Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, VCP, CCNA/CCNP, Network+, PCNSE, WCNA or Linux-related certs are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in proactive IT upgrades and scheduled penetration testing.
• Support service delivery with management reports around KPIs.
• Operate on a rotating 24/7 shift pattern, including two 12-hour shifts and three 6-hour shifts weekly, with out-of-hours shifts from home.
• Make occasional visits to data centres around the South to ensure reliable service delivery and support ongoing infrastructure.

Job description

Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Must be Security Cleared
• Experience supporting data centre environments
• Any of the following qualifications are a bonus:
• - Microsoft: MCSE, MCSA
• - VMWare: VCP
• - Cisco: CCNA/CCNP
• - CompTIA: Network
• - Palo Alto: PCNSE
• - Wireshark: WCNA
• - Linux: Linux-related certifications or experience (e.g. Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS)
