We’re looking for a No1 Assembly Technician to lead a small team of technicians to achieve the departments goals and project deadlines within Sub Assembly areas. The No1 Assembly Technician will be responsible for the build, service, and maintenance of a wide range of Assembly Group products to support Red Bull Advanced Technologies projects.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible and accountable for delivering objectives on time, and escalating any problems identified whilst working unsupervised.
Ensure all assemblies and vehicles are built to drawing, operated, and maintained to the highest industry standards and in line with the latest technical documentation.
Keep the Assembly Team Leader informed at all times of any additional work necessary.
Maintain assemblies in accordance with Production Management Group for build specification, up revisions, component lifing and hardware allocations.
Ensure all design updates are captured via the companies change management process.
Communicate all build quality issues to the appropriate key stake holders, ensuring all faults and NCRs are recorded via the internal business systems.
Thorough understanding and application of vehicle chassis set-up procedures.
Supervise ‘mock up’ or ‘pre-fit’ work highlight any issues or concerns to improve the design functionality.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Exhibit a high level of technical understanding of mechanical & hydraulic assemblies including the ability to interpret technical drawings and follow assembly processes and procedures.
Confident and capable of working to tight deadlines.
Be a good team player and able to lead No 2 technicians.
Have extremely high attention to detail.
Ability to problem solve in a high pressure environment.
Good communication skills (with various departments across the company).
Comfortable travelling to international destinations for work if required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience of using electronic business systems.
