Job summary

The Cadillac Formula 1 Team is seeking a No.2 Mechanic to join the Race Team, responsible for assembly, maintenance, and development of our Formula 1 cars. Factory-based with opportunities for trackside rotation, you will work with No.1 mechanics, engineers, and operations to maximize performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as No.2 Mechanic or equivalent in high-performance racing.
• Hands-on involvement in assembly, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of race cars.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, build procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, service, maintain, and rebuild Formula 1 cars, sub-assemblies, and components.
• Deliver build, maintenance, and preparation activities to timelines with quality.
• Complete build documentation, inspection reports, and lifing records for traceability.
• Conduct planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and root cause investigations.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve technical, quality, and build issues.
• Prepare and maintain race/test equipment, tooling, spares, and workshop assets.
• Support simulator, rig, development, and test programmes as required.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Operations for readiness.
• Attend selected Formula 1 events, supporting car prep and trackside ops.
• Build relationships across teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment and proper tool control.
• Operate in line with procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
