Job summary

Dalton Court Care Home in Tebay, part of Sandstone Care Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts on a 48-hour week. The role offers £23.65 per hour and a £1,500 welcome bonus for new-night nurses delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

You will lead the night care team, administer medications, monitor residents and complete care plans, with support from colleagues and GPs. Valid NMC registration (RGN/RMN) and elderly care experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• NMC registration required (RGN/RMN).
• Experience in nursing, residential, dementia or elderly care desirable.
• Strong leadership and decision-making in night shifts.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care tailored to resident needs.
• Lead and support the night care team with clinical guidance.
• Administer and manage medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor health and wellbeing, responding promptly to concerns.
• Complete clinical assessments, care plans and documentation.
• Liaise with families, GPs and healthcare professionals as required.
• Uphold high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
