Job summary

Dalton Court Care Home in Tebay, part of Sandstone Care Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts on a 48-hour week. The role offers £23.65 per hour and a £1,500 welcome bonus for new-night nurses delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

You will lead the night care team, administer medications, monitor residents and complete care plans, with support from colleagues and GPs. Valid NMC registration (RGN/RMN) and elderly care experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• NMC registration required (RGN/RMN).
• Experience in nursing, residential, dementia or elderly care desirable.
• Strong leadership and decision-making in night shifts.
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Hourly rate: £23.65 per hour
• Shift pattern: 8pm-8am
• Contracted hours: 48 hours per week
• £1500 welcome bonus
• Skilled Worker visa switch considered; no other sponsorship available.

Join our dedicated team at Dalton Court Care Home and play a vital role in delivering outstanding nursing care throughout the night.

We're looking for a compassionate and professional Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and leading clinical excellence overnight.

What You'll Do

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care tailored to individual resident needs.
• Lead and support the night care team, providing guidance and clinical expertise.
• Administer and manage medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, responding promptly to concerns.
• Complete clinical assessments, care plans and documentation.
• Liaise with families, GPs and healthcare professionals when required.
• Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained.

About You

• A valid NMC registration (RGN/RMN).
• Previous experience within a nursing, residential, dementia or elderly care setting is desirable.
• Confident leading teams and making clinical decisions independently.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Compassionate, professional and committed to delivering exceptional care.
• Comfortable working night shifts and able to remain calm and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
