Job summary

TechMet Ltd. in Belfast is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician to manage the preventive maintenance programme across all equipment, with emphasis on material handling transfer conveyors and elevators.

Reporting to the site Operations Manager, you will work 39 hours per week on a night schedule (Midnight to 8am, Mon-Thu, and Midnight to 7am Friday). To be considered you must have completed an approved mechanical/electrical apprenticeship and have five years' post-apprenticeship

Qualifications

• Completed an approved apprenticeship with relevant Mech/Elec or Electrical qualification.
• At least five years post-apprenticeship experience in a mechanical and/or electrical hands-on maintenance/engineering role.
• Experience fault-finding on PLCs, safety circuits, SCADA, control circuits, and variable speed drives.
• Knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment and hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic devices.
• Repair industrial agri-feed conveying systems to Company standards.
• Support all phases of capital investment projects from design to commissioning.
• Work night shifts.

Night Shift Maintenance Technician

£47,916.25 - BASED BELFAST

Hours - 39 hours per week, Midnight - 8am Monday to Thursday and Midnight to 7am Friday, £28.35PH OVER-TIME

Reporting to the site Operations Manager, you will manage the Preventive Maintenance programme across all equipment - keys items being material handling transfer conveyors and elevators.

• Support the efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic equipment faults
• Repair industrial Agri-feed conveying systems to current Company standards
• Support all phases of capital investment projects from design to commissioning
• Working night shifts

To be considered as a Maintenance Technician you will need:

• To have completed an approved apprenticeship with the relevant Mech/Elec or Electrical qualification.
• At least five years post apprenticeship experience in a mechanical and/or electrical hands-on maintenance and/or engineering role
• Experience in problem-solving and rectification on a variety of equipment, PLC's, safety circuits, control circuits, SCADA controlled equipment, variable speed drives etc.
• and understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience of fault-finding using wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment
• A full, valid driving licence
• £28.3528 p/h Fixed OT rate.
