Job summary

Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd is seeking a motivated technician for the Deeside Service Department on a Tuesday to Friday night shift from 6pm to 6am. You will undertake maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles and trailers, diagnose faults, and carry out tests to ensure permanent repairs.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the role requires an organised, methodical approach, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure both as part of a team and on your own

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing commercial vehicles.
• Organised and detail oriented with problem-solving ability.
• Completed manufacturer courses and kept technical data up to date.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair on commercial vehicles and trailers.
• Diagnose faults, carry out tests and implement permanent repairs.
• Complete warranty, contract and retail paperwork.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise costs.
• Undertake other duties as instructed by management.
