Job summary

Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd in Manchester is seeking motivated individuals to join our Service Department at the Trafford Park site. Shifts are 4 on 4 off, from 6am to 6pm, performing maintenance and repair on commercial vehicles and trailers.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will diagnose faults, carry out tests, and complete repairs, while handling warranty, contract and retail paperwork and carrying out preventative maintenance to keep customers on the road.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles.
• Organised and methodical with attention to detail.
• Manufacturers training courses completed with knowledge of data.
• Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential.
• Good communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair commercial vehicles/trailers of all types.
• Diagnose faults, carry out tests and effect complete repairs.
• Complete paperwork for warranty, contract and retail work.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise costs.
• Work well in a team or on own initiative as required.
