Job summary

Safran is seeking Hand Tool Operators in the Burnley area to perform hand routing and material finishing on aerospace components, using approved hand tools and following strict work instructions. The role requires removing excess material, trimming parts and ensuring conformity to customer and engineering specifications.

Night shift is available with pay rates around £22.09 per hour, plus holiday pay bringing total to £24.56 per hour for PAYE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with hand routing, trimming, drilling and finishing tools.
• Manufacturer/aerospace environment experience beneficial.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Job description

Hand Tool Operators role primarily involves carrying out hand routing and material finishing operations on composite and metallic aerospace components. The position involves removing excess material, trimming components and preparing parts to the required standard using approved hand tools, equipment and work instructions. • Night Shift pays £22.09
• plus £2.47 holiday pay per hour (£24.56 per hour in total) PAYE / £22.58 per hour Umbrella
• Nights is 8pm - 6pm Monday to Wednesday then 8pm - 5pm Thursday

Shift Pattern / Working Hours

4 weeks training on days (£16.99 per hour whilst on days) then moving onto permanent night shift
