Job summary

IBC Healthcare seeks a compassionate Female Waking Night Support Worker to provide dedicated one-to-one support to an adult with learning disabilities in Chestrfield (S42). The role focuses on therapeutic, person-centred care to help build routine, confidence and independence at home and in the community.

You will follow an individualised support plan and PBS framework, maintaining dignity, choice and long-term wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or autism.
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed practice.
• Strong de-escalation and communication skills.
• Calm, patient, consistent with professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, therapeutic support tailored to the individual's needs, preferences and goals.
• Promote independence and meaningful choice in daily life.
• Support with personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Support medication administration per policy.
• Assist daily living tasks to build skills and confidence.
• Encourage community access and social inclusion tailored to interests.
• Follow the support plan, risk assessment and PBS plan consistently.
• Recognise distress signs and respond with de-escalation to minimise restrictive practice.
• Complete accurate documentation and records.
• Collaborate with family and multidisciplinary team.
