The Derby Midland Hotel is seeking a dependable Night Team Member to support overnight hotel operations, ensuring guests feel safe, comfortable and well supported during the night shift.

Ideal candidates are calm, reliable, and practical, with an understanding that routine and quiet efficiency are essential to a positive overnight guest experience. Responsibilities include security checks, guest assistance, and basic reporting, in a role that values independence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reliable, responsible and calm, especially during overnight hours.
• Enjoys helping guests feel safe and reassured.
• Comfortable working independently while following clear procedures.
• Keeps environments tidy, secure and well organised.
• Experience in hospitality, customer service or security is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and enquiries.
• Maintain safety and security procedures throughout the night shift.
• Carry out regular security checks across the hotel.
• Provide general overnight support to hotel departments.
• Assist with light maintenance or housekeeping tasks if required.
• Set up meeting rooms and public areas as needed.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during the night.
• Check guests in and out when required.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, following hotel procedures.
• Complete basic reports and handover notes for management.
